Material Handler LeadLocation: Palmer, AK YardBuilder's FirstSource is seeking a dependable and experienced Material Handler Lead to support the efficient movement of materials and products throughout our production facility. In this role, you will help ensure production goals are met by coordinating workflow, operating material handling equipment, training team members, and maintaining accurate inventory and material movement records.If you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoy leading others, and are committed to safety and operational excellence, we encourage you to apply.Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial Handling & Inventory ControlSafely move, lift, carry, stack, and organize raw materials and finished products throughout the facility.Ensure the efficient flow of materials to support production schedules and operational needs.Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials, supplies, and inventory transactions.Verify the accuracy and quality of work performed by yourself and other material handlers.Equipment OperationOperate both motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment safely and effectively.Follow established operating procedures and complete required equipment inspections.Participate in specialized equipment training as required.Team Leadership & TrainingPlan, coordinate, and assign daily work activities to Material Handlers to meet production objectives.Monitor workflow and assist in resolving operational challenges.Train employees on proper material handling techniques, equipment operation, safety procedures, and job-specific responsibilities.Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and workplace safety.Safety & ComplianceFollow all company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Support continuous improvement efforts and identify opportunities to enhance productivity and efficiency.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Minimum of four (4) years of related material handling, warehouse, manufacturing, or production experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Previous experience leading, coordinating, or training team members preferred.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.Experience operating material handling equipment preferred.Physical RequirementsFrequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds.Occasionally lift and carry materials weighing up to 80 pounds.Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, and climb as required.Must be able to perform physical tasks throughout the workday in support of production operations.Work EnvironmentWork is performed in a manufacturing and production setting and may include exposure to:Varying temperaturesDust and airborne particlesElevated noise levelsMoving mechanical equipmentIndustrial chemicals and materialsAppropriate safety equipment and training will be provided.Why Join Builder's FirstSource?At Builder's FirstSource, we value hardworking team members who are committed to quality, safety, and customer success.
