Job Description

The Regional Banking Operations Manager leads a team of Banking Operations Managers supporting the operational performance, risk management, and consistency of financial centers across multiple markets. This role partners closely with Consumer Banking leadership to solve operational challenges, implement process improvements, and drive initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and execution. The successful candidate combines leadership, operational expertise, strategic thinking, and strong relationship-building skills to influence outcomes across the organization.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • Lead, develop, and coach a team of Banking Operations Managers supporting operational excellence across the financial center network.
  • Partner with Consumer Banking leaders to identify operational challenges and implement sustainable solutions that improve performance and client experience.
  • Drive operational change initiatives, including process improvements, new programs, and transformation efforts.
  • Oversee operational reviews, risk assessments, and quality evaluations to ensure consistency, compliance, and effective risk management.
  • Coach leaders through complex operational issues, escalations, and performance improvement opportunities.
  • Leverage data, reporting, automation, AI, and Microsoft technologies to identify efficiencies and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to financial center leadership while influencing policy, process, and procedural improvements that support long-term success.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field and 10+ years of related banking experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: Demonstrated experience leading (directly or indirectly) multiple banking center locations and leading leaders/manager roles (e.g., multi-site operations, quality/standards, or risk/compliance execution).

  • Demonstrated ability to critically assess financial centers, processes, employee behavior, and risk exposure to ensure a positive client experience.
  • Leverages advanced technologies, including AI and automation, to proactively identify opportunities, solve complex business challenges, and drive scalable operational efficiencies-demonstrating a forward-thinking mindset that embeds innovation into team practices and continuously advances organizational capabilities.
  • Strong capability to develop collaborative partnerships with financial center leadership teams and cross-functional stakeholders to influence behaviors that drive performance.
  • Superior knowledge of financial products/services, bank operations, practices, and procedures; advanced knowledge of consumer banking laws, regulations, and compliance issues.
  • Proven leadership skills: setting direction, prioritizing work, assigning accountability, coaching for performance, and influencing change at scale.
  • Strong change management and execution discipline (planning, communications, adoption reinforcement, sustainment).
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfort using operational reporting and workforce management data.
  • Ability to deliver clear, consistent, and effective communication, translating complex information into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
