DESCRIPTION OF WORK
-
This role provides clerical support for multiple environmental protection programs by preparing documents, maintaining records, and organizing information. It helps ensure accurate processing, strong communication, and smooth daily operations. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Document Processing: Type correspondence, reports and statistical materials and review work for accuracy
- Case Logging: Record water loss, damage claims and other information in BUMIS and track updates in spreadsheets
- Data Entry: Enter notes, updates and notifications into required systems and maintain accurate records
- Visitor Assistance: Greet office visitors, answer calls and direct individuals to appropriate staff
- Mail Handling: Sort, prepare and log incoming and outgoing mail and monitor postage levels
- Public Transactions: Prepare invoices, issue receipts and assist the public with test kits and map purchases

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00AM to 4:00PM, Monday thru Friday with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Coal Center, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes). -

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
