Job Summary Location: 541 Main Street, WeymouthAre you an experienced Medical Assistant ready to take the next step in your career? Mass General Brigham is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to join our Endocrinology team in Weymouth. This is an exciting new role for the department, offering the opportunity to help shape workflows, support clinical operations, and serve as a trusted resource for a growing team. In this leadership-focused position, you will continue to provide hands-on patient care while also supporting Medical Assistant staff through training, mentoring, daily coordination, and clinical oversight. Under the direction of the Practice Manager, you will work closely with providers, practice leadership, and site-based clinical teams to promote efficient operations, strong communication, and an exceptional patient experience. Schedule: Hours may range from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Flexibility is needed to support department needs and patient care operations. What You Will Do *Provide leadership, training, mentoring, and day-to-day guidance to the Medical Assistant team. *Support clinical operations by helping coordinate patient flow and ensuring timely, efficient care delivery. *Assist with patient intake, including obtaining medical history, taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and supporting office-based procedures. *Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members to promote effective workload distribution and use of resources. *Serve as a liaison between clinical staff, the Practice Manager, and providers to support communication and issue resolution. *Participate in new clinical initiatives, quality control programs, competency assessments, interview processes, onboarding, and precepting of new hires or students. *Help foster a positive, collaborative team environment focused on teamwork, professional development, and high-quality patient care.
