Job Summary The Superintendent is responsible for the overall management and successful execution of medium to large-scale projects. This role ensures all contracted work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company and customer requirements. The Superintendent provides leadership across project staffing, operations, quality, financial performance, materials, scheduling, and customer service while serving as the primary on-site point of contact. Key Responsibilities Lead overall project operations, including staffing, scheduling, workload distribution, productivity, quality, and project execution. Recruit, hire, train, supervise, develop, and manage project employees in accordance with company policies and procedures. Provide coaching and mentoring, conduct performance evaluations, and make recommendations regarding promotions, compensation, and corrective action. Serve as the senior company representative and primary operational liaison with customers and project stakeholders. Plan, monitor, and manage project financial performance, job costs, budgets, and profitability. Ensure project milestones, deadlines, and customer delivery requirements are consistently met. Monitor staffing levels, installation progress, productivity, and workload to support successful project completion. Review project financial activity for accuracy, including job cost postings, invoicing, collections, and periodic financial reporting. Complete and maintain required project documentation, including timesheets, work orders, material transfers, change orders, tool transfers, and job closing packages. Conduct routine jobsite walks and quality inspections to ensure workmanship meets company and customer standards. Identify and prevent potential outages, quality issues, and project delays. Prepare and maintain red-lined drawings, as-built documentation, and other project records as required. Provide technical leadership and troubleshoot project or installation issues as they arise. Review operational processes including estimating, purchasing, scheduling, warehousing, invoicing, and reporting to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions that enhance project performance. Partner with Training and Operations leadership to monitor safety and quality standards and reinforce a safety-first culture. Lead project meetings, operational meetings, training sessions, and customer or construction meetings as needed. Manage project tools, vehicles, equipment, and inventory, including maintenance and accountability. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned. Leadership Expectations The Superintendent is expected to demonstrate strong leadership, technical knowledge, financial awareness, and operational ownership. Successful individuals in this role are organized, proactive, safety-focused, customer-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment. Min USD $37.00/Hr. Max USD $40.00/Hr. Qualifications Physical & Work Requirements Regular and reliable attendance is required. Ability to travel within the branch and/or regional territory as needed. Ability to work at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move materials or equipment weighing up to 75 pounds. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods across large jobsites. Ability to distinguish colors, read small print, and recognize audible signals used in telecommunications environments. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications, low-voltage, construction, or a related technical field. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Lead Communications Technician or in a comparable technical leadership role. 3+ years of supervisory or management experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to define project scope, develop estimates and project plans, assign tasks, and manage projects through completion and customer turnover. Strong knowledge of blueprints, specifications, project documentation, reporting requirements, and quality standards. Proven leadership, problem-solving, critical-thinking, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to develop and implement effective project processes, procedures, and best practices. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project. Ability to learn, use, and train others on company and customer project management systems. Ability to effectively communicate and present information to employees, customers, vendors, and business partners. Professional, self-motivated, and committed to supporting company culture, safety standards, and customer service expectations. Must meet company driving requirements.
