The Opportunity

Join Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Student Success team as an Academic Advisor II, where you will make a meaningful impact on students' academic journeys and contribute to their persistence and degree completion. In this role, you will provide personalized academic advising, develop individualized degree plans, and connect students with university resources to help them achieve their educational goals. You will also serve as an experienced resource within the advising organization, supporting employee development, training, quality assurance, and process improvement initiatives. • Generous Time Off:Enjoy up to 18 days of paid leave in your first year, including 3 days granted upon hire and 15 days accrued throughout the year. You'll also receive 9+ paid holidays, including the day after Thanksgiving and the week between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day.

• Retirement Contributions:ERAU contributes 6% of your base salary to your retirement plan and offers a 4% matching contribution - with no vesting period.
• Personal Leave:Relax with 15 days of personal leave for non-exempt employees or 18 days for exempt full-time employees in your first year.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role isup to$48,333. The final offer will be based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as applicable state regulations, internal equity, and business needs, and may fall outside of the stated range.

Required

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience in academic advising, student services, student success, or another student support role within higher education.
• Demonstrated experience supporting students in a higher education environment, with knowledge of student needs, academic processes, and institutional resources.
• Comprehensive knowledge of academic advising practices, student success principles, university policies and procedures, and academic degree requirements.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to independently assess situations and determine appropriate courses of action.
• Ability to facilitate training, mentor colleagues, and communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
• Ability to manage competing responsibilities, maintain accurate student records, and meet established deadlines.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Proficiency with applicable student information systems, customer relationship management systems, communication platforms, Microsoft Office applications, and other university technologies.
• Ability to establish collaborative working relationships across departments and organizational levels.
• Commitment to providing a high level of service to students, employees, and university stakeholders.
