Short Description Responsible for screening, evaluation, and accurate reporting of all GYN and non-GYN cytologic specimens including thin prep preparations (CYTYC). Experience Required Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Cytotechnologist in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting Proficiency in screening and interpreting cytology specimens, including Pap smears, non-gynecological specimens, and body fluids Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working with delicate specimens Excellent knowledge of cytological criteria, classification systems, and quality assurance measures Familiarity with Meditech, Soarian and other relevant software applications Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle a high volume of cases efficiently Experience in highvolume cytology laboratories Rapid OnSite Evaluation (ROSE) experience Experience with ThinPrep, SurePath, digital cytology imaging systems, or similar platforms Prior exposure to CAP and/or Joint Commission inspections Education Requirements Bachelors degree in Cytotechnology or a related field from an accredited institution. Graduation from a CAAHEPaccredited cytotechnology program (or another program accepted by the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners) Education must meet CLIA highcomplexity testing personnel standards License/Certification Requirements Active, unrestricted New Jersey Cytotechnologist License National certification in cytotechnology, such as: CT (ASCP) or another nationally recognized certifying body accepted by NJ and CLIA Must maintain licensure and certification in good standing throughout employment Hourly Rate Min $37 Hourly Rate Max $61 The New Jersey Pay Transparency Act requires disclosure of the pay range for this position.
