Position Overview

The Systems Engineer, Endpoint Management is responsible for building and maintaining endpoint images, configuration profiles, and application packages for the various supported end-user hardware platforms managed through Microsoft Intune. This role handles certification of new endpoint hardware models and peripheral devices for implementation into our production environment, and leads troubleshooting and process design to support automated provisioning (Windows Autopilot), driver and firmware management, application deployment, and compliance and configuration policy enforcement. Reporting to the Manager, Desktop Engineering within Restaurant Technology, this role supports new and existing technology initiatives for the Subway brand.

Responsibilities

  • Create, upgrade, and maintain PC-based operating systems and Intune-managed endpoint configurations.
  • Create and execute test plans for software and hardware compatibility.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, including application and network connectivity.
  • Design and maintain processes for automated provisioning, driver and firmware management, application deployment, and compliance and configuration policy enforcement.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Follow established processes, escalation procedures, knowledgebase standards, and daily operations.
  • Support additional responsibilities as required by country, location, or department.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and endpoint management platforms, including Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, and Autopilot.
  • Knowledge of endpoint provisioning and imaging methods, including Intune/Autopilot deployment profiles and the creation of WIM and ISO files.
  • Familiarity with peripheral devices and network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Ability to install applications and configure systems by following documentation and communicating with vendors and/or internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-6 years of relevant experience in endpoint management or systems engineering.
