About the Role

Aquent is partnering with a leading global semiconductor and electronics company to find a Freelance Videographer / Camera Operator for their Dallas-based studio team.

You will join a small rotation of on-site crew members supporting an internal team of approximately eight producers. In this role, you will function primarily as a camera and grip resource across a variety of corporate video shoots, with occasional opportunities to handle editing pickups during slower periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Camera & Grip Operations: Serve as a camera operator and basic grip on corporate productions, including:

    • Leadership broadcasts, town halls, and executive messages.

    • Co-marketing and B2B digital content.
    • Employee spotlights and corporate culture videos.
    • Technical product demos and internal training videos.

  • Technical Setups: Operate cameras for both simple, locked-off setups (e.g., teleprompter operation) and complex product shoots requiring creative framing to showcase micro-level components.
  • Set Collaboration: Work seamlessly with internal producers and crew while maintaining a professional demeanor around executives and leadership.
  • Editing Pickups (Secondary): Support video editing pickups during slower production periods using Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or After Effects (for motion graphics/VFX).

Required Qualifications

  • Corporate Video Experience: Proven track record as a videographer/camera operator in corporate or B2B environments.
  • Set & Lighting Skills: Comfortable with basic set lighting, grip duties, and operating cameras for diverse shot lists.
  • Corporate Portfolio: Demonstrable experience with broadcasts/town halls, B2B marketing, training, or internal communications videos.
  • On-Site Requirements: Ability to work on-site in Dallas, pass a background check, and obtain a site badge.
  • Professional Reliability: Dependable, collaborative, and accustomed to following producer direction on tight production schedules.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience operating teleprompters and multi-camera live broadcast setups.
  • Hands-on editing experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and After Effects.
  • Adaptability to switch between simple, steady camera support and highly skilled, creative camera operating depending on shoot requirements.
