The University of Virginia Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) seeks a Grants and Contracts Administrator - Outgoing Subawards, reporting to the Outgoing Subawards Manager, to perform outgoing subaward related activities supporting our sponsored research mission. This position is eligible to be remote. OSP empowers faculty, staff, and students to achieve their research endeavors by offering expert guidance in proposal submission and contract negotiation, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and laws, and facilitating efficient award administration. We are dedicated to supporting innovation, collaboration, and excellence in research, thereby furthering the university's mission to advance, preserve, and disseminate knowledge for the benefit of society. . Grants and Contracts Administrators possess a comprehensive understanding of grants and contracts administration. Subaward Administrators are responsible for preparing and issuing outgoing subawards and modifications, the processing of subawards in the financial system and serving as a principal contact for subrecipients and UVA departments. The preferred candidate will have strong listening and communication skills, be adept at learning new systems, and will grasp new concepts and processes easily and efficiently. The ability to work self-sufficiently on assigned tasks while still being an active and integral part of the Pre-Award team is a key component of the Grants and Contracts Administrator role. OSP is a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with high volume, requiring excellent time management and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities
In addition to the above, other duties may be assigned. MinimumQualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree. Experience: At least three years of relevantexperienceisrequired. A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Physical Demands:This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetingsand programs. Preferred Qualifications: Experience:At least 3 yearsrelevant experiencewithgrants and contractsinresearch administration within an institution of higher education.
