The Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technician installs, calibrates, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs plant instrumentation, control systems, and associated electrical equipment supporting safe, reliable, and environmentally compliant operation of the Deer Park power generation facility. The position supports normal operations, planned and forced outages, startups, shutdowns, testing, and commissioning. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in an operating power plant in indoor and outdoor environments and may include elevated areas, confined spaces, rotating or energized equipment, industrial hazards, and varying weather conditions. The employee must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, climb stairs and ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, respond to audible alarms, and wear required PPE and respiratory protection. Callout, overtime, shift coverage, weekend, holiday, and outage support may be required. NRG Energy is committed to a drug and alcohol-free workplace.
