Position Title: Inventory Control Coordinator

As an Inventory Control Coordinator, you'll play a critical role in keeping materials flowing, maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production schedules, and partnering with teams across Supply Chain, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Quality. Inventory Control Coordinator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Receive and process purchase orders into the inventory management system following material receipt verification - Schedule outbound freight and coordinate shipments with carriers - Monitor inventory levels and notify Purchasing of verified stock shortages - Review and process custom Bills of Material (BOMs) for engineering approval - Enter inventory transactions, including parts issued, transfers, and inventory adjustments - Perform routine cycle counts and investigate inventory variances - Prepare shop packets and picking lists for production and warehouse personnel - Close completed shop packets and maintain database accuracy - Research and resolve inventory quantity discrepancies with Manufacturing and Quality teams - Prepare monthly inventory performance reports, including cycle count and picking accuracy metrics - Assist Material Handlers with picking, kitting, and staging materials as business needs require - Participate in annual physical inventory counts and reconciliation activities - Support sourcing and purchasing efforts for production materials and inventory replenishment - Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure compliance with company procedures Inventory Control Coordinator Requirements: - High school diploma or GED - Minimum 1 year of inventory control, warehouse administration, or inventory management experience - Experience with inventory software, ERP systems, or database management preferred - Purchasing or materials planning experience is a plus - Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook - Ability to perform accurate data entry and maintain attention to detail - Strong mathematical and analytical skills - Safety and quality system awareness training preferred - Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments - Desired skills: inventory control and cycle counting; ERP/data management systems; inventory reconciliation; materials planning; purchasing support; freight scheduling and coordination; strong organization skills; excellent written and verbal communication; problem-solving and decision making; customer and vendor relationship management; negotiation skills; initiative and accountability - Split between office, inventory crib, warehouse, and manufacturing floor environments - Regular use of computers, phones, printers, and other office equipment - Primarily seated work with occasional standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing - Frequently lift and move items up to 20 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds - Occasional local travel may be required to pick up or deliver materials IND061 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
