Position Summary Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on NEI-funded projects that use electrophysiological, psychophysical, pupillometric, and imaging techniques to investigate the pathophysiology of retinal disease. These clinical research projects are performed in human volunteers, and preference will be given to applicants with a clinical background that encompasses human subjects research or clinical care. There is ample opportunity to gain experience in pre-clinical studies, if desired. Prior experience in retinal electrophysiology, psychophysics, or pupillometry, as well as programming experience and good writing skills are desirable. The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences has an active group of scientists interested in basic, clinical, and translational research. There are opportunities for interaction through departmental seminars and collaborative research projects.
