The Scheduling Manager - Crude is responsible for overseeing the scheduling, movement, and coordination of crude oil volumes across pipeline, terminal, storage, and transportation assets. This role ensures accurate and efficient execution of crude oil transactions while optimizing logistics, inventory management, and customer commitments. The manager works closely with commercial, operations, accounting, marketing, and customer teams to maximize asset utilization and ensure regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Scheduling & Logistics Management
- Lead daily crude oil scheduling activities across pipelines, terminals, storage facilities, rail, truck, and marine transportation systems.
- Coordinate crude oil nominations, confirmations, allocations, and movement planning with shippers, producers, refiners, and third-party carriers.
- Ensure timely and accurate scheduling of inbound and outbound crude oil volumes.
- Monitor inventory positions and coordinate adjustments to minimize operational disruptions.
- Resolve volume discrepancies, scheduling conflicts, and transportation issues.
Commercial & Customer Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding crude oil movements and scheduling activities.
- Collaborate with commercial and marketing teams to execute transportation and storage agreements.
- Support optimization opportunities by identifying logistics efficiencies and capacity enhancements.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, pipeline operators, terminals, and industry partners.
Operations Support
- Work closely with field operations and control center personnel to ensure safe and efficient product movement.
- Communicate operational constraints and capacity issues to internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate planned maintenance activities and understand their impact on scheduling and deliveries.
- Assist during operational upsets, emergency situations, and recovery efforts.
Inventory & Financial Management
- Monitor and reconcile crude oil inventories across multiple locations.
- Review and approve volume accounting, balancing, gain/loss reporting, and settlement information.
- Support month-end close processes and audit requirements.
- Analyze scheduling and inventory data to identify trends and improve performance.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with company policies, pipeline tariffs, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of nominations, movements, contracts, and transactions.
- Support risk mitigation efforts related to crude oil transportation and inventory management.
- Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to environmental regulations.
