JOB DESCRIPTION

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Supports safe, accurate, and timely movement of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment through shipping, receiving, inventory control, warehousing, and distribution activities. The role performs physical and system transactions, maintains complete records, coordinates with internal customers and service providers, and follows applicable quality, safety, security, trade compliance, and company requirements.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Receive materials against purchase orders, transfer documents, or other approved records, verify quantities and condition, document discrepancies, and route exceptions for resolution.



  • Prepare domestic and international shipments, including packing, labeling, weighing, staging, and producing required shipping and internal movement documents.



  • Complete accurate and timely transactions in approved shipping, inventory, warehouse, and enterprise resource planning systems.



  • Maintain shipment, receipt, inventory, chain-of-custody, and proof-of-delivery records in accordance with retention and audit requirements.



  • Perform inventory control activities, including cycle counts, reconciliation, transaction history research, location control, and discrepancy investigation.



  • Coordinate with Procurement, Planning, Order Management, Production, Security, Trade Compliance, Finance, carriers, and internal customers to support service requirements and resolve issues.



  • Monitor shipment and receipt status, communicate delays or exceptions promptly, and maintain accurate information for stakeholders.



  • Follow standard operating procedures and applicable quality, safety, environmental, security, dangerous-goods, and import-export requirements.



  • Support continuous improvement, workplace organization, cross-training, reporting, and other material coordination duties as assigned.



  • Ability and prior experience as a forklift operator various types and sizes.




Shipping Receiving Coordinator III Scope:

Performs varied and nonroutine assignments with limited supervision and supports specialized, urgent, high-value, or controlled material movements.

Responsibilities:

Investigates shipment, receipt, inventory, and documentation discrepancies, coordinates corrective actions, supports cycle counts, reporting, training, procedure updates, and service recovery.

Knowledge and judgment:

Uses intermediate operational and system knowledge to analyze information, recognize risk, and resolve issues within policy, works directly with cross-functional partners as needed.

Typical experience:

High school diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
