Job Summary / General Description:
Supports the development, implementation, auditing, monitoring, and ongoing administration of HR compliance programs and processes. This role helps promote compliance with applicable federal and state employment requirements and internal policies by reviewing records, responding to routine inquiries, maintaining compliance resources, supporting audits, and monitoring data related to recruitment, onboarding, employment eligibility, recordkeeping, reporting, and related HR activities.

Essential Job Functions/Principal Accountabilites:

  • Support annual and ad hoc internal HR compliance audits by gathering records, reviewing documentation, tracking findings, and following up on assigned action items.
  • Monitor and respond to routine HR compliance inquiries; escalate complex, sensitive, or unresolved matters to the Manager, Employment Compliance.
  • Provide procedural support and maintain current resources for field HR teams in areas such as Form I-9, E-Verify, onboarding, records, audit processes, and other employment compliance initiatives.
  • Review HR records and data for completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with established procedures; identify discrepancies and obtain missing information when necessary.
  • Maintain user access and account information for HR compliance systems and coordinate troubleshooting of reported issues with appropriate partners.
  • Generate, format, and review reports from HR systems and spreadsheets; support tracking, reconciliation, and routine analysis of compliance-related data.
  • Assist with developing and updating policies, procedures, job aids, reports, communications, and training materials.
  • Maintain organized electronic records, trackers, shared resources, and documentation in accordance with established recordkeeping practices.
  • Conduct basic research on employment compliance requirements and summarize findings for manager review.
  • Coordinate with HR teammates and internal partners, including HRIS, Recruiting, IT, Legal, Payroll, and other business teams, to complete assigned work and resolve routine issues.
  • Prioritize multiple assignments, monitor deadlines, communicate status, and complete work accurately within established timeframes.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, Employment Compliance.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Two (2) or more years of business, administrative, HR, compliance, audit, or related experience, particularly in a regulated environment.
  • Associate degree or some college coursework preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Experience supporting audits, reviewing records, performing basic research, or working with data and reports.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint; ability to learn HR and compliance systems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to follow established procedures, recognize when escalation is needed, and work effectively with routine supervision.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment; regular on-site attendance and the ability to work effectively in an in-office setting are required.
  • Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, telephone, and standard office equipment.
  • Work is primarily performed while seated, with routine movement within the office as needed.
  • Travel is not required.

    Requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards
