Job Description

The Department of Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) and its affiliated Center for Family and Policy Research (CFPR) at the University of Missouri are seeking a Program/Project Support Coordinator II to support several federally and foundation-funded research projects focused on human development, health, family relationships, and well-being.

The primary responsibility of this position will be to manage the day-to-day operations of multiple federally and foundation-funded research projects and support the research team in the successful implementation of ongoing studies. The Research Project Manager will work closely with faculty principal investigators, research staff, students, and other collaborators to coordinate research activities, maintain project timelines, and ensure that project milestones and deliverables are completed effectively and in accordance with study protocols and applicable regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities may include coordinating day-to-day project activities; managing Institutional Review Board (IRB) materials, submissions, and regulatory documentation; overseeing participant recruitment, scheduling, and data collection; tracking project timelines, milestones, and deliverables; mentoring and coordinating the work of graduate and undergraduate research assistants; communicating with research staff, faculty investigators, and external collaborators; assisting with data management, data cleaning, and preliminary analyses; and contributing to research reports, presentations, conference materials, manuscripts, and other project deliverables. This position mentors and coordinates students rather than serving as their formal supervisor.

This position is well suited for an individual with experience in social or behavioral science research who enjoys coordinating complex research activities, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, and supporting projects from study implementation through dissemination.
