What You'll Do:
- Prepare and analyze financial and statistical reports, including variance explanations, cost tracing, root-cause analysis, benchmarks, and financial trends.
- Perform complex account reconciliations and prepare schedules, supporting documentation, and materials for annual external audits.
- Research complex accounting standards and develop technical documentation, position papers, policies, procedures, and process documentation.
- Maintain financial dashboards, calculate key ratios, monitor performance benchmarks, and communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support process improvement initiatives focused on cost and margin enhancement, risk mitigation, operational efficiency, and improved financial processes.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with concentration in Finance or Accounting or Auditing
- 2+ years of experience in financial/project management for Operational Units.

- Master's Degree
- Accountant/analyst experience in a field supporting and providing technical and analytical solutions.
- Knowledge of accounting/analyst experience in a field supporting and providing financial and operational solutions.
- Understands processes and procedures in specialized field.
- Initiative to work independently or as a member of a team, coordinating with others to achieve desired results.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills for interaction with all levels of personnel.
- Ability to meet goals and objectives with minimal direct supervision.
- Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to make recommendations and independent decisions.
- High level of accuracy of work and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work in a team environment, coordinating with other areas to achieve goals and objectives.
- Ability to work in a variety of locations such as the field, construction centers and the main office.
- Ability to identify alternative solutions for development of decision-making proposals, which support organizational goals/objectives
- and budget constraints.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and
- scheduling.
- Extensive experience as an accountant/analyst or in a related field.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficient in SAP, PeopleSoft, or Hyperion.
- Relative experience in supporting the electric or gas utility industry.
