Job Summary The Financial Analyst will develop models, analyze budgets, and track funding to support strategic decision-making and federal program planning. Key Responsibilities
- Financial Modeling & Scenarios: Build and maintain complex financial models, including "what-if" scenarios for funding and scope changes.
- Budget Analysis & Tracking: Monitor budgets against actuals, analyze variances, and support period-end tracking, reconciliation, and budget formulation.
- Reporting & Stakeholder Briefings: Create data dashboards, analyses, and briefings using Excel, Power BI, and financial systems.
- Program Support: Review and integrate financial data from multiple sources to guide program execution.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business (or 15 years of relevant experience).
- Experience: 5+ years in financial analysis, modeling, or federal budgeting.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; database management and MS Office proficiency.
- Core Competencies: Strong communication skills, professional demeanor, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of budget/funding processes and the Congressional budget cycle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Systems: Experience with financial accounting tools (e.g., OneStream, Oracle) or cost-management systems (e.g., Cobra).
- Data Visualization: Proficiency in Power BI or Tableau.
- Leadership: Executive-level experience managing large, multi-appropriation, multi-contract financial programs.
