Hexcel is currently seeking a Senior HR Manager for our Stamford location. We offer a hybrid work environment (typically, 3 days in the office, 2 days at home). This position will support the Legal, Finance and Human Resources functions and will also serve as the HR Manager for the Stamford Corporate site. The Senior HR Manager will operate as a strategic advisor to functional and site leadership, translate business priorities into integrated people strategies and lead the delivery of HR programs and solutions that strengthen organizational capability, workforce effectiveness and employee engagement. The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
- Act as the senior HR partner to Legal, Finance and Human Resources leaders, shaping and executing people strategies aligned with functional priorities and enterprise objectives.
- Serve as the HR Manager for the Stamford site, establishing HR priorities and providing leadership for employee relations, workforce planning, talent management, engagement and site initiatives.
- Advise senior leaders on complex organizational matters, including operating-model effectiveness, organizational design, succession planning, workforce capability and change management.
- Lead the resolution of complex and sensitive employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, risk assessment and consistent application of employment practices and company policies.
- Drive integrated talent strategies for the supported functions and Stamford site, including leadership assessment, succession planning, development, performance management and retention of key talent.
- Use workforce data, business insights and sound judgment to identify organizational risks, recommend actions and measure the effectiveness of HR strategies and programs.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and business leaders to anticipate workforce requirements and implement recruiting, selection, onboarding and internal-mobility strategies.
- Partner with Total Rewards to advise leaders on compensation and benefit decisions that support internal equity, external competitiveness and business priorities.
- Coach senior leaders and managers to strengthen leadership effectiveness, navigate organizational change and address performance and talent challenges.
- Influence and collaborate across Corporate HR and other functions to implement enterprise programs, improve HR processes and ensure consistent, compliant and effective execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or a related field required; SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- Minimum eight years of progressive HR experience, including at least five years in an HR leadership or management role.
- Experience serving as a strategic HR business partner to corporate functions and leading HR delivery for a site or defined employee population.
- Working knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, with experience managing complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
- Demonstrated ability to advise senior leaders, assess organizational needs and translate business priorities into practical people strategies.
- Experience leading organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, talent management and change initiatives.
- Proven leadership, coaching and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence decisions across levels and functions.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with experience using workforce data and business insights to develop recommendations and evaluate outcomes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR information systems; Workday experience preferred.
- Ability to travel when necessary (up to 20%).
