| Job Summary |
Job Summary: Reporting to the Assistant Head of Research and Instruction Services, the Librarian for Research and Instruction Services provides in-person and virtual research assistance to the UT Dallas community, participates in the library's liaison program, and delivers instructional services that support information literacy, research skills, and the effective use of library resources. |
| Minimum Education and Experience |
Master's degree in Library Science (
MLS or
MLIS) from an
ALA-accredited institution. |

- Working knowledge of library systems, resource discovery, and access.

| Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist patrons in using the library and its collections; participate in the design of formal and informal instruction activities and coursework; provide research and instruction services; act as a faculty liaison for collection development.
- Provide general and course-specific instruction, teaching in person, online, and in hybrid formats, and assist with all instruction initiatives.
- Develop and maintain research guides and other online materials to support the UT Dallas community.
- Participate in evening and weekend rotations.
- Will be exposed to standard office conditions and repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation; work as a team member and individually; work under pressure of deadlines.
- Attend professional meetings and conferences and participate in committees of the library and the university.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Position is not eligible for remote work.
