Job DescriptionThe Operations Training Supervisor is responsible for leading the design, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of operational training programs that support employee development, regulatory compliance, workforce capability, and business performance. This position serves as the subject matter expert for training systems, training governance, onboarding effectiveness, and workforce development initiatives across multiple manufacturing facilities. The Operations Training Supervisor partners closely with Operations, Safety, Quality, Human Resources, Maintenance, and Plant Leadership teams to ensure employees possess the skills, knowledge, and qualifications necessary to perform safely and effectively. The role provides leadership, coaching, resources, and support to Plant Training Coordinators, Authorized Trainers, supervisors, and operational leaders to ensure consistent execution of training standards and employee development practices across all facilities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, or related discipline required. Formal training in learning and development, operations, or safety preferred. Equivalent combination of education and manufacturing experience may be considered. Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing, operations, workforce development, technical training, leadership, or a related field. Experience designing and delivering training programs in a manufacturing or operational environment preferred. Experience leading trainers, training initiatives, or workforce development programs preferred. Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration preferred. Equipment and Software: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; able to learn and use LMS and digital training applications. Experience utilizing metrics and data to evaluate effectiveness and guide decision-making. Communication & Collaboration - excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships with plant leadership across all levels of the organization. Effective conflict resolution and stakeholder management skills. Technical Proficiency - proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Learning Management Systems and training databases. Ability to analyze and present training-related data and reports. Organization & Prioritization: Manages multiple tasks, schedules, and training records efficiently. Problem Solving: Identifies learning gaps, adjusts training approaches, and recommends practical solutions. Additional InformationPhysical: Ability to work in both manufacturing and office environments. Must be able to walk and stand for long periods in a manufacturing environment. Regularly climb stairs/ladders and lifts up to 50 lbs. Ability to demonstrate physical aspects of job tasks during training. Sensory: Must be able to visually observe tasks, hear and speak clearly in a noisy environment, and identify key safety or quality indicators. Mental/Reasoning: Ability to conduct training sessions in classroom and operational settings. Able to break down complex tasks into teachable steps. Thinks logically and adjusts teaching methods based on learner needs. Works independently, manages time effectively, and maintains detailed records. Ability to travel to company locations as required. Occasional extended hours may be required to support operational and training needs.
