You will join our highly collaborative HR Operations team as an HR Administrator, where you will partner closely with global colleagues to jointly support the complete employee lifecycle, drive continuous process improvements, and solve complex challenges together.
You will manage day-to-day HR administration and the full employee lifecycle, coordinating everything from onboarding and offboarding to benefits, payroll, leaves of absence, and employee transfers. Serving as the primary point of contact via ServiceNow, email, and phone, you will resolve complex inquiries, issue employment verifications, and maintain accurate, confidential data within McKinsey's People Systems.
To ensure seamless operations, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders-including Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, and regional US HR teams-to align on policies and resolve issues. Additionally, you will drive process efficiency by developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conducting data reporting, and fostering a collaborative team environment through peer training, with long-term opportunities to support regional or global HR expansion.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred
  • 1+ years of professional experience, preferably in HR or professional services environment
  • Exceptional accuracy combined with a focus on efficiency
  • Demonstrated personal responsibility and process ownership that drives high-quality results
  • Customer service orientation framed by exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information, personal integrity, excellent judgement and high ethical standards
  • Ability to dive into complex, ambiguous situations and bring them to an effective resolution
  • Independent project management skills, flexibility, and organization; excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize independently and flex priorities constantly

      To help you understand what you can expect, the salary range for new joiners in this role in United States, including all office locations where the job may be performed, is $55,000 - $68,100 USD gross per year. This reflects our best estimate of the lowest to highest
      [salary/hourly wages] for this role at the time of this posting, ensuring you have a clear picture right from the start, though it's important
      to remember that actual salaries may vary. Factors like your office location, your unique blend of experience and skills, start date and our current
      organizational needs all play a part in determining the final figure. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to McKinsey's discretion
      and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
