Position Title: Material Handler
Wage: $17.50 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am-2:00pm QPS Employment Group has a great Material Handler position available at a company in Quincy, IL. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. Material Handler Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Verify incoming deliveries for accuracy. - Identify and label materials with their proper stock locations. - Move materials from receiving to designated storage locations. - Accurately pick parts for production and customer orders. - Pick customer kits and prepare them for shipping. - Record inventory receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments in the ERP system. - Follow material handling procedures to prevent damage, loss, and inventory errors. - Maintain 5S standards, including clean, organized work areas and safe operating conditions. Material Handler Requirements: - High school diploma or GED. - Basic computer skills. - Ability to organize tasks, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Availability to work overtime as required to meet business needs. - Ability to regularly lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds. - Ability to stand for extended periods. Preferred Requirements: - One to three years of warehouse experience. - Two years of experience using an inventory management system to process transactions, generate reports, reconcile inventory, and investigate discrepancies. - Forklift and pallet jack experience.
