Maintenance Technician (Commercial Facilities) - Direct Hire Location: Claymont, DE Shift: Monday-Friday \| 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Pay: $20.00-$25.00/hour Job Duties Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems. Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, drains, fixtures, piping, and water distribution systems. Utilize ProPress equipment for plumbing installations and repairs. Conduct general building maintenance, including repairs to walls, ceilings, flooring, doors, windows, cabinetry, and framing. Perform painting, touch-up work, and facility improvement projects as needed. Troubleshoot equipment and building systems to ensure safe and efficient operation. Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner. Follow all safety procedures and company maintenance standards. Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Technical training in maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or a related trade is a plus. Ability to read work orders, maintenance schedules, and technical documentation. Experience Requirements Multiple years of commercial building maintenance or facilities maintenance experience required. Strong hands-on plumbing experience, including repairs, installations, and troubleshooting. Experience operating and installing piping systems using a ProPress tool required. Experience with HVAC, electrical systems, welding, or mechanical maintenance is preferred. Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance tasks effectively. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical labor for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various facility environments.
