Schedule: Monday to Friday 3pm-1130pm

The TimberGuard Assistant Operator is an employee with responsibilities for being able to run all TimberGuard related products. The role is to help ensure that their team achieves the Company's goals and abides by all Safety, Housekeeping, Quality, and Pounds & Yield standards, set forth on a daily basis. The TimberGuard Assistant Operator works in conjunction with their TimberGuard Operator, Lead, Tooling & Maintenance Technicians, Materials Coordinator, and Production Scheduler & Production Manager. TimberGuard Assistant Operators are responsible for the "Upstream & Downstream" work on the TimberGuard production line.

Job Duties

  • Support the operation of the TimberGuard production line and assist with all upstream and downstream production activities.
  • Perform visual quality inspections and ensure products meet company quality standards.
  • Complete quality checks, product labeling, and production documentation accurately and on time.
  • Stage raw materials according to production schedules and verify materials meet quality requirements.
  • Maintain packaging material inventory and ensure finished products are stored properly.
  • Assist with die changeovers, online die cleaning, and production line setup activities.
  • Support maintenance by reporting issues and assisting with work order requests.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and promptly report safety concerns.
  • Work closely with Operators, Leads, Maintenance Technicians, and Production Management to achieve production, quality, and efficiency goals.


Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.


Experience Requirements

  • 1-2 years of manufacturing, production, or material handling experience required.
  • Sit-down forklift experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong attention to safety, quality control, and production standards.
  • Ability to complete production paperwork and maintain accurate records.


Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl throughout the shift.
  • Frequent lifting and moving of materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting of items exceeding 100 lbs. with proper assistance or equipment.
  • Ability to use hands and arms continuously for handling materials and operating equipment.
  • Must have close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and attention to detail for quality inspections.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while maintaining productivity and safety standards.
