57-passenger coaches, 25-passenger coaches, 39 passenger coach and/or 15-passenger van to transport passengers to scheduled destinations in a safe, timely, and professional manner. Drivers are responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and properly sanitized vehicle
after each trip and/or as needed. Drivers must also conduct required vehicle inspections, report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly, and comply with all applicable company policies and transportation safety regulations. |
| Description of Work |
We are seeking dependable, safety-focused, and professional vehicle drivers to operate passenger vehicles ranging in capacity from
15-passenger vans to 57-passenger buses/coaches. The Driver is responsible for safely transporting passengers to and from designated destinations, providing courteous customer service, and maintaining the assigned vehicle in a clean, safe, and roadworthy condition.
The ideal candidate will have strong defensive-driving skills, excellent judgment, a professional appearance, and the ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended trips as needed. Safety is the highest priority for this position. Drivers are expected to maintain a professional safety record, operate vehicles responsibly, comply with applicable
DOT/FMCSA requirements, and immediately report any condition that could affect passenger or vehicle safety.
Vehicle drivers must never operate a vehicle while impaired, fatigued beyond safe operating limits, or otherwise unable to safely perform their duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate passenger vehicles ranging from 15-passenger vans to 57-passenger buses/coaches.
- Transport passengers safely, efficiently, and professionally according to assigned routes and schedules.
- Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any safety, mechanical, or maintenance concerns.
- Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation laws and regulations.
- Follow company safety policies, procedures, and operating standards.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle when appropriate.
- Safely secure luggage, equipment, mobility devices, and other passenger belongings as required.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and presentable vehicle interior and exterior.
- Monitor vehicle conditions, fuel levels, and basic operating functions.
- Maintain accurate trip, mileage, fuel, inspection, and other required records.
- Communicate professionally with passengers, dispatchers, supervisors, clients, and other staff.
- Follow assigned schedules while allowing for traffic, weather, road conditions, and passenger needs.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, vehicle breakdowns, accidents, or other unexpected situations.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.
- Report accidents, incidents, passenger concerns, traffic violations, vehicle defects, and other issues promptly.
- Use radios, mobile devices, GPS/navigation systems, dispatch systems, or other company equipment as required.
- Perform other duties related to passenger transportation as assigned.

| Competencies/Knowledge Skills, and Abilities Required in this Position |
- Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicles being operated. (CDL is not required for 15 passenger vans)
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with applicable passenger endorsement(s) and air-brake qualification, when required for assigned vehicles.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Ability to successfully complete required background checks, drug/alcohol testing, and other company screening requirements.
- Previous passenger transportation, shuttle, charter bus, school bus, motor coach, or commercial driving experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and defensive driving techniques.
- Ability to read and follow schedules, routes, maps, and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with passengers, dispatch, and management.
- Professional appearance and courteous attitude.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in stressful or unexpected situations.
- Ability to work independently while following company procedures.
- Ability to sit and operate a vehicle for extended periods.
- Ability to enter and exit passenger vehicles repeatedly throughout a workday.
- Ability to assist passengers and handle luggage or equipment as required by the position.
- Ability to perform vehicle inspections, including walking around the vehicle and checking required components.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
