$22.81 per hour with overtime for work more than 8 hours in a day or 80 hours in a 2-week pay period; shift differentials apply.

Week 1: Tuesday through Sunday (off on Monday).

Week 2: Tuesday through Friday (off on Monday, Saturday, and Sunday).

What You'll Do

  • Follows prescribed procedures and performs routine building and equipment rounds, including checking outside grounds, lighting, equipment temperatures, and general building conditions.
  • Inspects for safety and maintenance issues, including inoperative exit lights and open ceiling tiles; makes minor repairs as needed and notifies department management when an outside contractor is required.
  • Operates and maintains facility heating, cooling, electrical, plumbing, and other mechanical equipment with assistance from a Maintenance Mechanic II or III.
  • Performs minor preventive maintenance and repairs throughout the building and grounds.
  • Performs basic pest management, including placing and emptying mouse traps and spraying for weeds and bugs.
  • Replaces light bulbs, ballasts, fuses, light switches, and switch plate covers.
  • Clears clogged toilets and plumbing waste lines; repairs or replaces toilet and urinal flush valves, toilet float components, faucets, and valves.
  • Replaces ceiling tiles and repairs door locks, hinges, wheelchairs, vacuum cleaners, floor equipment, and other minor equipment.
  • Performs low-voltage electrical repairs and assembles equipment, including vacuum cleaners and other minor equipment.
  • Cleans and maintains grounds, waters plants, and performs landscaping as directed by department management.
  • Moves, disassembles, and assembles furniture as assigned.
  • Uses hand tools and power tools safely and wears required personal protective equipment.
  • Applies lockout/tagout procedures as directed by department management and uses fire prevention equipment and other safety precautions as needed.
  • Follows safety and security procedures to help protect residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Completes assigned work orders efficiently and on time and records work in the required paperwork and daily log.


What You'll Bring: Required Qualifications

At least a high school diploma or GED is required.
