Description Providence is offering up to a $30,000 hiring bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment This is a combined posting for Echocardiograph Technologist and Senior Echocardiograph Technologist. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. Consideration for each role will be based on qualifications. The Technologist, under the direction of a Cardiologist, performs echocardiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision as well as other duties as assigned. This requires independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply non-ionizing high frequency ultrasonic waves for a cardiographic diagnosis, whether scheduled or emergent. He/she will participate in the clinical activities, including call, within the imaging areas of Echocardiography, Surgery, Mobile Unit and Nursing Units. Under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Echocardiology, the Senior Echocardiology Technologist performs Echocardiographic procedures, assists physicians as required and does related work as assigned. The Senior Echocardiology Technologist also precepts echo students and is responsible for orienting new staff to the Echo department. Providence caregivers are not simply valued - they're invaluable.
