Help Support Union Pacific's Community Impact and Engagement Union Pacific is one of America's premier transportation and logistics companies, linking 23 states in the western two-thirds of the country and serving many of the fastest-growing U.S. cities. For generations, Union Pacific employees have helped build America by delivering the materials, products, and resources communities and businesses rely on every day. As a Corporate Relations Intern, you will primarily support Union Pacific's Community Ties Giving Program, gaining hands-on experience with corporate philanthropy, community relations, communications, data management and project support. Responsibilities include administering corporate giving software, reviewing and processing grant applications, serving as a point of contact for community organizations, tracking event sponsorships, reconciling contribution information for corporate reporting, analyzing giving histories, and supporting other administrative and project-based assignments related to Union Pacific's philanthropic programs. Communication and data management are key aspects of this internship. You will also work closely with the Public Affairs team, providing additional exposure to how Union Pacific builds and maintains relationships with the communities we serve, as well as insight into legislative affairs and project management. As an intern at Union Pacific, you will build knowledge and experience in our core business groups and their vision, business objectives, processes, systems, and services. You will have extensive contact with peers and interaction with senior leaders, with opportunities to apply your leadership, technical skills, and business knowledge through project assignments. This is a paid, year-round internship anticipated to begin in May 2027, with flexibility around academic commitments. Interns may work up to 25 hours per week during the school year and are required to work 40 hours per week in person in Omaha, Nebraska, during the summer. During the academic year, the successful candidate will have the option to work remotely if attending school outside Nebraska, based on business needs. The estimated wage for this position is between $21-$25 per hour. Final rate of pay will be based on several factors including year of study, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
