Position Summary

The Business Manager serves as a strategic business partner supporting SpaceX program and project leadership across mission-critical infrastructure and advanced industrial development projects. The role is responsible for business operations, portfolio governance, financial performance, program controls integration, executive reporting, and cross-functional coordination to support successful execution of high-profile SpaceX initiatives.

This position requires a strong blend of commercial, project management, financial, and operational leadership experience within fast-paced, highly technical environments.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Program Leadership

• Partner with SpaceX and project leadership teams to drive achievement of program objectives.
• Support planning and execution of large-scale infrastructure, manufacturing, launch site, and data center-related projects.
• Develop business strategies that align project execution with organizational goals.

Portfolio Management

• Manage project portfolios and program-level reporting.
• Establish governance frameworks and performance measurement systems.
• Monitor program health and provide executive-level insights and recommendations.
• Drive consistency across reporting, forecasting, and delivery practices.

Commercial & Financial Oversight

• Lead project financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and resource management.
• Monitor cost, schedule, and performance metrics across active projects.
• Support contract administration, change management, and commercial negotiations.
• Ensure financial performance aligns with business objectives.

Operational Excellence

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and project performance.
• Drive process improvements and implementation of best practices.
• Coordinate activities across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams.

Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement

• Prepare executive presentations and business reviews.
• Interface with senior leadership and client stakeholders.
• Communicate project performance, risks, opportunities, and strategic recommendations.

Risk Management & Governance

• Lead risk identification, mitigation planning, and governance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, corporate, and project requirements.
• Support decision-making through data-driven analysis and business intelligence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, Finance, or related field.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• PMP, PgMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent certification highly desirable.
• 15+ years of experience in large-scale capital project delivery.
