Now Hiring: Junior Physical Architect Location: Sterling Heights, MI Pay Rate: Up to $44/hour Turn complex engineering concepts into vehicle-ready designs. We're hiring a Junior Physical Architect to support CAD integration, vehicle space allocation, interface development, and product structure for advanced vehicle systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career mechanical engineering professional to build hands-on experience in a highly technical environment. Job Duties Develop and maintain CAD master models and interface assemblies. Create static, dynamic, sway, shot-line, and keep-out zone space claims. Support product structure development and preliminary EBOM creation. Conduct component interference and clearance analyses and document findings. Participate in engineering, technical, drawing, and design checkpoint reviews. Support vehicle trial fits and builds. Develop interface control, installation, general assembly, weldment, and related engineering drawings. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, logistics, program teams, vendors, and government stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience. 1-3+ years of related experience preferred. Working knowledge of NX, CREO, or SpaceClaim required. Teamcenter and Vis-Mockup experience preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to climb on/off and work in and around military vehicles and meet confined-space anthropometric requirements. Ability to work occasional evening/weekend overtime. Travel of more than 25% may be required. Position may require eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
