During the interview, all candidates will be tested on their ability to safely operate a Ride-on Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ).Please ensure candidates understand this requirement and are comfortable operating the equipment before submitting them for consideration.Required ExperienceThe following experience must be clearly listed on the candidate's resume:Ride-on Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ)Walkie Pallet JackOrder Picking / Order SelectionOrder PackingInventory / ReceivingScanner OperationPreferred Experience12 months of warehouse experience12 months of Ride-on Electric Pallet Jack or forklift experience12 months of Order Selector / Order Picking experiencePosition SummaryThe Order Selector / Equipment Operator is responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders in a fast-paced warehouse environment.The position involves operating an electric pallet jack or forklift to select products, using Sysco Order Selection (SOS) technology to label products, building and organizing pallets, and safely transporting completed orders to designated dock locations.Employees will work in multiple warehouse environments, including dry, cooler, and freezer areas, where temperatures and humidity may vary.The scheduled shift begins at 8:00 PM, and employees may be required to work until all assigned work is completed. Overtime and weekend/holiday work may be required to meet customer order needs.Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately hand-select customer orders throughout dry, cooler, and freezer warehouse areas.Operate Ride-on Electric Pallet Jack and/or forklift equipment to transport products.Use the Sysco Order Selection (SOS) unit to create and apply product labels.Stack products safely and correctly on pallets, including proper weight distribution and label placement.Transport and stage completed pallets at the appropriate dock locations.Shrink-wrap products on the loading dock.Follow required safety procedures and immediately report unsafe conditions to a supervisor.Follow sanitation requirements and applicable company and AIB policies.Properly maintain and safely operate assigned equipment, including pallet jacks, SOS units, and personal protective equipment.Complete required pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.Attend required company meetings and training.Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.QualificationsSuccessful candidates should:Have at least 12 months of Order Selector / Order Picking experience.Have previous experience using a Ride-on Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ).Be comfortable completing a hands-on EPJ skills test during the in-person interview.Have experience with order packing, inventory/receiving, and scanner operation.Be able to work in dry, cooler, and freezer environments with fluctuating temperatures.Be able to work an overnight schedule and required overtime, weekends, or holidays when needed.Follow warehouse safety, sanitation, and equipment-operating procedures.Be dependable and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.Candidate Submission ReminderMake sure Ride-on EPJ, Order Picking/Selecting, and other required warehouse experience are clearly shown on the resume.
