Digital UX Strategist, Consultant

Your Role

The Digital Experience, Design and Content (DEDC) team's User Experience team is responsible for the user experience and look and feel of Blue Shield of California's digital products and websites. The Digital UX Strategist, Consultant will report to the Sr. Manager of User Experience. In this role you will play a critical role in contributing to Blue Shield of California's futurestate digital products by defining endtoend experience strategy across complex member, provider, employer, and prospect journeys. You will operate as an individual contributor and emerging thought leader, translating business and customer needs into cohesive, AIenabled, and scalable solutions. Your work will influence product strategy, experience quality, and the organization's ability to deliver personalized, modern digital experiences at scale.

Your Knowledge and Experience

• Requires a bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Requires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience
• Requires expertise in full-stack product design, including UX, interaction design, visual design, service design, and advanced prototyping using industry standard tools like Figma
• Requires proven experience contributing to experience strategy and design for complex, multi-journey digital products across AEM, mobile apps, and web-based app platforms like Angular
• Requires experience applying AI-informed or data-driven design practices, including experimentation, personalization, or intelligent automation within digital experiences
• Requires experience collaborating with other designers and strategists in modern product design and continuous discovery practices

Hybrid

This role requires employees to be in-office based on our hybrid workplace model, balancing purposeful in-person collaboration with flexibility. For most teams, this means coming into the office two days each week.

Employees living more than 50 miles from an office location will work with their manager to determine in-office time based on business need.
