This opportunity puts your driving skills to work transporting goods safely, efficiently, and on schedule while supporting the businesses and customers that keep the economy moving. What You'll Do Operate a yard goat to safely move, stage, and position 53-foot trailers throughout the yard. Perform blindside backing and accurately place trailers into dock doors and designated parking areas. Couple and uncouple trailers, including connecting and disconnecting air and electrical lines. Coordinate trailer movements with yard personnel and dock teams to maintain efficient operations. Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Follow all yard safety procedures while supporting peak-season transportation operations. Experience Requirements Minimum of 6 months of verifiable yard hostling or yard jockey experience required. Previous experience operating a yard goat or terminal tractor. Proven ability to maneuver and position 53-foot trailers in a busy yard environment. Experience safely backing trailers into dock doors, including blindside backing. Strong attention to safety, communication, and operational efficiency. Dependable with the ability to work flexible overnight schedules. Driver Requirements Valid driver's license required; CDL not required. Ability to perform blindside backing of 53-foot trailers safely and efficiently. Acceptable driving record. Strong knowledge of yard safety procedures and trailer movement operations. Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekdays and weekends. Must be comfortable working outdoors and around active transportation equipment.
