Position Title: Catcher
Wage: $19.00/hour Shift: 3rd Hours: 10:00pm - 6:30am We are seeking a fast-paced, detail-oriented High-Speed Inkjet Catcher to join our digital printing team in Buffalo Grove, IL. This role is focused on catching, inspecting, sorting, traying, and palletizing output coming directly off high-speed digital inkjet presses. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-speed production environment, possesses exceptional attention to detail for quality and sequence verification, and keeps equipment and press areas clean and organized. Catcher Responsibilities: - Catch and sort finished inline jobs coming off high-speed digital inkjet presses - Perform rigorous sequence checking and job-to-job sorting to preserve batch integrity - Tray, bundle and organize output according to job specifications - Perform continuous visual quality checks on printed material - Verify front-to-back print matches, alignment, and print consistency - Monitor press output during operation to ensure standard tolerances are maintained and report defects immediately - Neatly stack, bundle and secure finished jobs onto pallets and skids - Safely move skids into position to support press operations - Collect and dispose of waste paper into designated bins - Perform daily routine machine cleaning and dusting to remove paper dust and lint - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the press hall Requirements for Catcher: - Prior experience in a fast-paced print manufacturing or digital press room environment is preferred - Strong attention to detail with the ability to verify sequence numbers and perform front-to-back matching accurately - Ability and willingness to work 12-hour overtime shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) and weekends during peak production periods - Continuous standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout an 8- to 12-hour shift in a fast-paced environment - Manual dexterity to catch, sort, tray, and stack fast-moving printed materials safely - Ability to lift up to 30lbs QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
