Position Title: Maintenance Technician
Wage: $30.00-$35.00/hour Shift: 1st OR 2nd Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday, Friday OT during busy season OR 5:00pm-05:30am Monday-Wednesday, Thursday OT during busy season We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations by performing preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance on production equipment, vehicles, and facility systems. This hands-on role is critical to ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, enjoys solving problems, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. This is a direct hire opportunity in Elkhorn, WI. Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Equipment & Machinery Maintenance - Perform preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment - Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems - Maintain and repair CNC machinery, automated equipment, power tools, presses, cranes, and compressed air systems - Perform maintenance on company vehicles and mobile equipment, including forklifts, man lifts, and trucks - Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime Facility Maintenance - Maintain facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, sprinkler systems, fencing, and general building infrastructure - Assist with facility improvement projects, equipment installations, and machinery relocations - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance shop and work areas Documentation & Safety - Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately - Order replacement parts, tools, and maintenance supplies as needed - Follow all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and company policies - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that increase equipment reliability and operational efficiency Maintenance Technician Requirements: - Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electro-Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred - Valid driver's license - Minimum of 5 years of industrial, mechanical, or electrical maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience - Experience troubleshooting electrical systems, wiring, motors, controls, and industrial equipment - Working knowledge of CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment - Basic understanding of PLCs and ladder logic - Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals - Experience using diagnostic equipment, including voltmeters and AC drives - Ability to safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, power tools, and other maintenance equipment - Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team - Equivalent hands-on maintenance experience will also be considered - Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and reach throughout the workday - Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds - Ability to work around moving machinery and manufacturing equipment while following all required safety procedures IND022 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
