Description
The Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin and Dell Children's Medical Center (DCMC) is seeking a full-time pediatric cardiologist with specialization in electrophysiology to support our rapidly growing team within the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease (TCPCHD). The successful candidate would join a current team of 2 senior electrophysiologists with greater than 50 years of combined experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care, leadership, and innovation alongside our team of cardiologists and advanced practice providers. Although patient care is our primary focus, education and research are also encouraged and supported with access to dedicated research professionals including a statistician, research manager, and research coordinators. Our practice is located in central Austin, providing inpatient and outpatient support for all of central Texas and beyond. The position encompasses responsibilities in patient care, administration, program development, safety, quality and access for services. This position will work with the Chief of Pediatric Cardiology and the leadership of the TCPCHD to execute on yearly personal and programmatic goals focused on the fundamentals of extraordinary care: safety, quality, patient experiences, access, and stewardship. Routine patient care will include: Management of arrythmias, telemetry review, outpatient clinic, catheterization procedures, device implants, and close collaboration with the inpatient team in all areas of patient care.
