Application Window Open date: November 13, 2023 Most recent review date: Thursday, Feb 1, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description OPEN RANK PROFESSOR OF HEALTH POLICY Two health policy groups at UCSF - UCSF Center for Translational and Policy Research on Precision Medicine (TRANSPERS), located in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and the Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies (IHPS) - are seeking a full-time faculty member (open rank) with expertise in health policy research and related fields. This position offers the opportunity to join one of the world's leading health care institutions and two widely regarded organizations. The incumbent will focus on research as their primary activity and will thus be expected to bring or obtain external funding for the majority of their support. For applicants who do not have external funding but who have strong credentials, there is funding available for protected research time to obtain funding. As relevant, the incumbent will have a scientific research management role as Assistant Director of Research for TRANSPERS and the incumbent will participate in limited teaching and service activities (both roles are salary-supported). The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $112,500-$297,200. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
