This position is a site-specific leadership role, located at Blue Origin's Rocket Park, FL site and reporting to the Senior Director of Digital Engineering and Manufacturing Solutionsfor Enterprise Technology. We're seeking an individual with the ability to act as a strategist, advisor, change agent, and customer-focused advocate who provides onsite operational support and technology-agnostic customer service to key functional stakeholders in manufacturing Operations and Blue Origin's New Glenn and Lunar business units. As an Enterprise Technology leader, the individual in this role must have strong communication and leadership skills to drive change, influence teams and leaders, share insights, build partnerships, and produce organizational results. This role will have direct interactions with executive management, business leaders, external vendors, and other key stakeholders, as well as driving operational excellence and tracking site-specific KPIs.

Enterprise Technology: This role is part of Enterprise Technology (ET), where we're developing the digital infrastructure needed to build the road to space, with an emphasis on digital capabilities required to advance Blue Origin's mission. Enterprise Technology is the center of excellence for digital technology at Blue Origin, providing oversight and governance to align technology and business strategies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Partner with senior leaders in Enterprise Technology and Operations to provide technology customer support for manufacturing technology initiatives, staying updated on key technology initiatives, goals, and roadmap.

  • Provide onsite team support and technology-agnostic customer service to key functional stakeholders in manufacturing operations and the New Glenn and Lunar business units, plus offering deep expertise in enterprise technology.

  • Ensure appropriate issue/incident response, intake, and customer responsiveness, leading critical discussions with customers and other technology stakeholders and partners.

  • Provide technology readiness/adoption support for technology changes, launches, and transformational initiatives, facilitating communications and engagement across technology teams, users, and customer communities.

  • Complete daily floor walks for trouble-shooting and weekly topic-focused floor walks to build relationships, gather insights, and promote continuous improvements.

  • Contribute perspective and insights from onsite experience to inform technical roadmaps, architecture, and research opportunities related to manufacturing technology initiatives and services.

  • Provide broad insights on technology domains and capabilities to support enterprise-wide business decisions related to the current/future state of manufacturing technology operations.

  • Influence leaders within and outside the organization to align with organizational goals and build necessary partnerships.

  • Provide insights that contribute to optimizing the cost, risk mitigation, and value of technology products and services.

  • Guide high-quality service delivery and support efforts for all manufacturing technology services, identifying opportunities for improvement and expansion to meet enterprise needs.

  • Implement continuous-improvement programs, facilitating the identification of desired outcomes and success measures for the manufacturing technology organization and driving the completion of assessments and review metrics to ensure value delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline; MBA preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience, including leadership responsibility in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams on complex and business-critical projects, including influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders.

  • 5+ years of Program Management experience in manufacturing technology, with manufacturing or supply chain industry preferred.

  • Extensive experience in business planning, strategy, and operations for a manufacturing-focused organization, as well as technology strategy and delivery.

  • Deep familiarity with highly technical product development teams and processes across software, product, user experience, and data science and an understanding of the applicability of different skills and methodologies.

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills, including outstanding facilitation, collaboration, and influencing capability, effective interpersonal skills, and strong executive presentation development and delivery skills.

  • Ability to influence, create relationships, and collaborate internally and externally at all organizational levels, including problem-solving and conflict resolution.

  • Experience with budget management and KPI tracking and reporting.

  • Trustworthy, with high integrity, and the ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality.

  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, self-driven, and able to articulate technology initiatives across the entire organization.

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence/Wiki, and Kanban style management.

  • Experience with discrete manufacturing.

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
