Job Description
The Pharmacist post graduate year 2 (PGY2) resident provides pharmaceutical care during all learning experiences and service component throughout the organization in a fashion that adheres to current regulations and laws. This position is responsible for completing all goals and objectives and required competencies for individual learning experiences and the overall residency program. This position is responsible for acting as an information resource to patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy and drug-related information and literature. This position is responsible for the filling and dispensing of medication orders including the proper handling, usage, and storage of drugs in the pharmacy, and maintains standards set by the department and translates policies and procedures into the daily operation of the pharmacy. The Pharmacist post graduate year 2 (PGY2) resident position is designed to be a 12-month position but may be extended if needed. Responsibilities
