We are currently looking for a Full Time Production Scheduler that uses estimates, time standards, delivery commitments, availability of supplies, and other data to prepare production schedules by assigning time to plant equipment and man-hour requirements to operations necessary to complete the job. Forecasting manufacturing workloads by working with Customer Service Representatives and Production Supervisors on developing schedules on new or prospective jobs. Coordinating machine downtime with Production Supervisors and/or Maintenance Scheduler to accomplish necessary tasks. Monitoring job progress against schedule Scheduling production to maximize job change efficiencies while meeting customer requirements and analyzing workflow. Directing new orders into time slots that optimize equipment efficiency and minimize downtime. Providing Production Supervisors with production schedules and information used to project utilization of personnel and overtime and notifying Production Supervisors within a specified time to allow recruiting of overtime personnel. Providing Customer Service Representatives with timely updates and informing CSR's of any changes that will affect delivery commitments to customers. Prepare job jackets for scheduled jobs. Input and maintain accurate specifications for each job to be scheduled. Food Safety Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and good housekeeping guidelines at all times while on the job. This is a daily requirement. Safety Must follow safety guidelines and wear designated Personal Protective Equipment at all times while on the job. Must meet annual OSHA safety training requirements. Non-Essential Functions (occasional duties that are not listed above) Participate on teams as requested and required. Skills and Qualifications State the minimum qualifications required to successfully perform the job. These are the qualifications that are necessary for someone to be considered for the position. All qualifications must comply with provincial human rights legislation. Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or business preferred Must have excellent communication skills and ability to work with others Willing to perform duties assigned and manage multiple priorities Must have good spreadsheet knowledge/application (Excel and Email). Typing and computer skills Prior Supply Chain experience preferred Use of scheduling software to manage production schedules Knowledge of printing processes and production workflow Ability to work under pressure Must be good with details and numbers.
