Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor - Food Manufacturing
Work Location: Los Angeles, CA
FLSA: Non-Exempt, Direct-Hire, Full-Time

Hourly Rate: $45.67 per hour
OVERVIEW:
An international food manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee its maintenance operations across plants in Los Angeles. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians to ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all production equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong industrial electrical skills, expertise in PLC programming, and knowledge of production automation systems within the food manufacturing industry. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO:
Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance technicians, promoting a cooperative and productive work atmosphere.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Oversee and conduct advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, and automation equipment.
PLC Management: Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs to ensure optimal performance of automated production systems.
Preventive Maintenance: Create and implement preventive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
Task Management: Assign and prioritize maintenance tasks, ensuring timely and accurate completion of work orders.
Equipment Installation: Coordinate and supervise the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Reliability and Efficiency: Lead initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, improve production processes, and reduce downtime.
Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including electrical schematics, PLC programs, and equipment logs. Generate reports on maintenance performance and metrics.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to support manufacturing objectives and resolve technical issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of hands-on mainteneance experience in food manufacturing machinery and equipment.

Bilingual proficiency in Spanish required.
Industrial expertise in: Electrical systems, control circuits (switches, sensors, solenoids), blueprints and electrical diagrams, pneumatic systems, mechanical systems, PLC and variable motor control drive programming.

Fabrication skills: Welding (MIG, TIG, and Stick), cutting, grinding, pipe fitting, machining and design.
Knowledge of maintenance and monitoring: Boilers, air compressors, silo systems, HVAC systems, vacuum systems, ammonia refrigeration systems
Must have own tools and tool pouch; hands-on work is required.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when needed.

Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
