City/State Virginia Beach, VA Overview Work Shift Rotating (United States of America) Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support our Outpatient Pharmacy Team! Click here to chat with a Recruiter on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 2-3pm This is a full time (40hrs/wk) position that provides on site support to our 7 hospitals in the Hampton Roads and Peninsula area! Includes Travel to: Sentara Virginia Beach General, Sentara Princess Anne, Sentara Norfolk General, Sentara Leigh, Sentara Obici, Sentara Careplex, Sentara Williamsburg Regional This position will also require float to SentaraRx to assist in filling pill packs for our PACE patients. Work schedule: Will work rotating 8 hour shifts, M-F from 8:45am-5:15pm and 10:45 to 7:15pm* Schedule provided in advance for location and hours Mileage reimbursement for Travel Occasional Saturday (8:45-3:30pm) Occasionally will cover Holidays (8:45-3pm) Required qualifications: Virginia Pharmacy Technician license Pharmacy Technician Certification Board(PTCB) OR NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - required if licensed in VA after 7/1/2021 Preferred qualifications: 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience preferred Prior hospital experience preferred Job responsibilities: Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist Measure, mix, count out, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders Responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient-focused, and cost-efficient drug therapy About Sentara Sentara is a Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina based not-for-profit integrated healthcare provider that has been in business for over 131 years.
