This is an opportunity to become involved in the one of the most cutting-edge areas of cancer therapy Immune Oncology, to learn and use the newest technologies, develop the most marketable skillset in laboratory science, while working with an exceptional team of dedicated and talented scientists.

Research Technician 3:

  • Assists and supports scientific investigation to study immuno-oncology as directed in the Immune Monitoring amp; Discovery Platform (IMDP) in the Pelotonia Institute of Immuno-Oncology.
  • Conducts planned research activities using observation, measurement and analytical techniques (spectral flow cytometry, single-cell proteomics/genomics, highly multiplexed tissue imaging, spatial transcriptomics, etc.).
  • Prepares solutions and live culture media for scientific experiments.
  • Performs a variety of assays and experimental tests.
  • Collects, sorts and processes tissue and blood samples.
  • Records and consolidates research data.
  • Assists with preparation of data and materials for inclusion in research reports, publications and grant applications written by principal investigator.
  • Research current scientific literature on specified topics.
  • Assists with instructing research aides, undergraduate and graduate students in laboratory procedures and operation of equipment.
  • Calibrates various laboratory equipment and operates microscopes, centrifuges, and other laboratory equipment.
  • Assists with ordering, stocking, and maintenance of research supplies. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A Bachelors degree in biological/health sciences is required. Ability to translate, adapt and apply academic or practical knowledge in the conduct of biological/health science research is required (presentations at national meetings). Requires successful completion of a background check. Qualified candidates will complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
