Senior Manager, TA Integrated Insights & Business Intelligence Business Partner

We are seeking strategic, analytic-minded, collaborative, and purpose driven colleagues to drive integrated insights, forecasting and performance tracking for our end-to-end strategies by therapeutic area (TA) within our US Petcare business. You will be a critical enabler for our organization, overseeing the build out and deployment of a robust business intelligence strategy to inform decision making in alignment with TA objectives.

Position Responsibilities

Deliver on the full forecasting effort for the TA, including:

  • Own holistic forecast, including synthesis of the top-down forecast with internal bottom-up forecasts delivered by each channel (Retail, Vet Clinic, etc,) in conjunction with Finance and TA Teams; increase accuracy of financial and demand forecasts
  • Direct management of the top-down forecast
  • Identify and quantify drivers of current and future sales performance
  • Provide insights from across data sources to support the strategic plans and product P&L, such as modeling different forecast scenarios to optimize launch execution or understand impact of expected competitors

Act as an expert in assigned TA, including mining secondary data sources for TA-specific insights, leading TA-specific competitive intelligence activities and understanding primary market research insights (PMR conducted by separate dedicated team;) consolidate information across these data sources to create a holistic view

Be a strategic partner to TA Teams by:

  • Synthesizing insights into actionable, strategic implications, facilitating decision-making in line with key performance goals
  • Developing data-based insights around customer segments to enable the creation of targeted programs
  • Collaborating on preparation for monthly performance reviews, quarterly President's Reviews and annual business planning

Bring data-driven insights to support business decision making and work with Data & Digital team on predictive analytics that highlight opportunities for product penetration, market share growth and sales optimization

Optimize metrics and KPIs as needed to prioritize those which are most useful for the business; introduce innovative techniques and technologies for monitoring performance and understanding customer behaviors where gaps exist

Foster an environment where feedback is open, ongoing and consistent

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's in marketing, market research, engineering, computer science, finance or equivalent, MBA or advanced degree a plus; prefer a combination of marketing + data science fundamentals
  • 8+ years of direct forecasting and / or related business intelligence / analytics experience

Technical Skills and Requirements

  • Forecasting expertise
  • Understanding of marketing, measurement and insights
  • Experience in the animal health, human health, consumer goods or other related space
  • Strong communicator, including oral, written and interpersonal communications skills; strong negotiation/ persuasion skills
  • Able to work across cross-functional teams to understand business goals, measure progress against those goals and recommend data-based strategies to improve performance
  • Data-driven mindset
  • Organized, fast-moving, adaptable
  • Demonstrated organizational acumen and success working in a matrix organization
  • Excellent project management and time management skills
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and make thoughtful, fair decisions based on relevant information
  • Ability to interact with/influence Sr. Management and peers with confidence and conviction
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Preferred but not required:

  • MBA or other post-graduate degree
  • Experience in use of artificial intelligence to streamline processes / enhance accuracy
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics tools such as Tableau
  • Proficiency with quantitative languages and tools including SQL (or another advanced programming language such as R, C++, etc.)

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Position is hybrid, based in Parsippany, NJ (2-3 days per week expected on site)
  • Travel requirement: variable, approximately 10%

Base Pay Range: $139,000 - $200,000

This position is eligible for short-term incentive compensation. The position is also eligible for long-term incentive.
