The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases, is seeking a gastroenterologist to serve as the Medical Director of the Inflammatory Bowel Diseases Program. Applicant must have an M.D degree or equivalent, from an approved CME medical school and satisfactory completion of an Internal Medicine residency program and gastroenterology fellowship from an ACGME accredited program. Candidate must be eligible for Texas medical license and be board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full time schedule. The position will oversee the planned expansion of the inflammatory bowel disease practice. This position will be functioning as a gastroenterologist, with responsibilities and duties in patient care activities in IBD and general GI care, in addition to teaching and training of medical students, house staff, and fellows.
