Certified Ophthalmic Technician - Ophthalmology Department
Experience and Education Graduation from accredited approved program for Ophthalmic Technicians, one (1) year experience as Ophthalmic Assistant or equivalent and certification as Ophthalmic Technician by Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO or CAHEA) Job Duties 1. Assists ophthalmologists in treatment and care of patients by performing variety of technical duties. This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code *51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.
