UT Southwestern Medical Center's Department of Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery is seeking an experienced cardiothoracic surgeon to support our cardiac surgery practice at our University Hospitals and affiliate locations. Duties will include performing common cardiac operations. The applicant will be expected to participate in the daily management of cardiac surgery patients, intensive care rounds, and the teaching of thoracic surgical fellows. Clinical or basic science research opportunities are available to qualified candidates. The successful applicant will participate in both routine call schedule as well as transplant call schedule. Special interest: Experience in transplantation, circulatory system support, and ECMO preferred. Eligibility for a Texas medical license is required. Applicants must be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, or foreign equivalent. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic credentials and experience.
