SUMMARY:Responsible for the proper cleaning packaging sterilizationstorageand distribution of operating room supplies and patient care devices in accordance with ANSI (American National Standards Institute)/AAMI (Association for the Advancement of Medical Equipment) IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materials Management) standards and departmental policies. Inspects and restocks crash carts and emergency supply baskets. Cleans and assembles CPR mannequins and infant car seats. Actively participates in inventory control and data entry. Performs other duties as designated. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains a safe environment for patients physicians and other surgical services staff. Hand-washing supplies Assembly and Packaging of Instruments Demonstrates competency in sorting inspecting and assembling instrument sets using set cards and count sheets. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma (or equivalent). Computer data entry skills. Comparable Central Sterile supply experience preferred. Must have CRCST through HSPA (or its equivalent through CBSPD) within 12months Maintains current CPR certification. Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit stand squat/kneel walk for 3-7 hours per day lift over 50lbs with good mechanics twist/bend infrequently. Must be able to use both hands/wrists and perform work that deviates from neutralposition andbe able to perform fine motor skills.
